Who We Are

Enjoyment and learning.
The Guild is a non-profit organization founded in 1991 for the purpose of education and inspiration in the art of Wood Crafts. Located across Lake Pontchartrain from New Orleans, this group of woodworkers from St. Tammany Parish and surrounding North Shore communities meets monthly to exchange ideas and information about woodworking, to answer questions or get help on woodworking problems, to display and explain recent projects, and to enjoy demonstrations by members and guests. From neophytes to old hands, this group with wide backgrounds and experience levels can make you feel at home whether you are a weekend do-it-yourselfer or a master craftsman.

You do not need to be a resident of St. Tammany (want to carpool from New Orleans? -- we have a member from Gretna!), you do not need to have a shop, you do not need experience. Visitors are welcome!

Special Events

Assembling up to 1500 boats for kids attending two-day the Madisonville Wooden Boat Festival is one of the enjoyable highlights of the year.
